Area Maintenance Manager – Aromatics (Derivatives)

About the role

The Area Maintenance Manager for Aromatics (Derivatives) will lead all maintenance activities within the designated plant area, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. This senior position reports to senior engineering leadership and works closely with planning, reliability and HSE teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all maintenance activities for the Aromatics (Derivatives) area, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and rotating equipment maintenance for process units.
• Oversee maintenance execution during plant shutdowns, turnarounds and major equipment overhauls.
• Ensure timely reporting of maintenance work through the CMMS system.
• Support planning, scheduling and reliability teams in maintenance optimization, bad‑actor analysis and equipment reliability improvement.
• Manage day‑to‑day maintenance teams and contractors while enforcing HSE policies.
• Prepare weekly performance reports and participate in maintenance review meetings.
• Develop maintenance personnel through technical coaching and job‑specific training in coordination with HR.

Required profile

• Saudi national with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent; diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical maintenance, with progressive responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience in Aromatics/Derivatives units such as PX, Benzene, Cumene, Cyclohexane, Styrene, Phenol, Acetone, PTA, or related plants.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, fired heaters, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers and reactors.
