Assistant Field Operations Manager – Gravity Operations

About the role

The Assistant Field Operations Manager – Gravity leads day‑to‑day ground‑gravity activities for FTJV in Saudi Arabia. You will combine field leadership with hands‑on gravity acquisition, positioning, QA/QC and data‑processing to ensure high‑quality survey results.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and issue daily/weekly gravity deployment plans, assign stations and loops, and adjust for terrain, access or equipment constraints.
• Lead multiple gravity crews, providing technical support for CG‑6 Autograv setup, levelling, recording and safe handling.
• Oversee field QA/QC, including station precision, repeat observations, loop closure, GPS/RTK accuracy and corrective actions.
• Download, validate, organise and back‑up daily gravity and positioning data and process it according to project procedures.
• Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager and HSE team, conduct toolbox talks and maintain strong HSE leadership on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of ground‑gravity field deployment, QA/QC and data‑processing experience.
• Hands‑on experience with gravity meters, preferably CG‑6 Autograv.
• Practical knowledge of Trimble survey systems, TSC5 controllers and GNSS/RTK workflows.
• Previous responsibility for supervising field crews and translating survey plans into safe deployment plans.
• Degree or diploma in Geophysics, Geology, Surveying/Geomatics, Earth Sciences or Engineering (or strong equivalent experience).
