Assistant Head Nurse

About the role

Diaverum is seeking an Assistant Head Nurse to support the Head Nurse in delivering safe, effective, and high‑quality care in its dialysis clinics across the Kingdom. The role combines clinical oversight with staff leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold the organisation’s True Care culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in staff selection, scheduling and orientation of new employees.
• Provide counselling to staff and advise the Head Nurse on appropriate actions.
• Supervise and evaluate patient care through rounds and quality‑assurance projects.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness and equipment standards within the clinic.
• Support audit action plans and implement risk‑management measures.
• Identify learning needs and facilitate ongoing staff development.

• Clinical expertise with a calm, decisive presence.
• Ability to recognise and address problems early.
• Clear communication with staff, patients and families.
• Consistent adherence to high clinical standards.
• Cultural sensitivity in a diverse clinic environment.
• Leadership qualities that build trust and team performance.

Required skills

• Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
• Hands‑on experience in dialysis nursing and clinical leadership.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
