Assistant Lecturer – Emerging Faculty Programme

About the role

The Riyadh University of Arts (RUA) is launching its Emerging Faculty Programme for the 2026/27 academic year and seeks motivated Saudi nationals to join as Assistant Lecturers. This developmental appointment offers early‑career academics a structured pathway into university teaching and creative practice within a specialised arts environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support course delivery under faculty supervision.
• Facilitate tutorials, studios, workshops, rehearsals, or critique sessions.
• Assist with assessment, grading, and student academic support.
• Participate in performances, productions, exhibitions, screenings, or related disciplinary activities.
• Engage in student mentoring and extracurricular activities.
• Attend faculty development workshops and professional learning events.
• Contribute to the academic and creative life of the College and University.

Required profile

• Saudi national.
• Master’s degree in Film, Performing Arts, Music, Heritage, Cultural/Arts Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Demonstrated artistic, disciplinary, or creative potential.
• Interest in teaching and an academic career.
• Strong communication skills suitable for university‑level instruction.
• Preferred: professional or creative industry experience, evidence of artistic achievement, experience supporting workshops or student projects.
