Assistant Manager – Recreation

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Recreation to support the daily operation of our pool and beach facilities at Amaala. The role combines hands‑on maintenance, guest service and team leadership to ensure a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support recreation staff, covering duties in their absence.
• Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness and operation of pool, beach and cabana areas.
• Schedule and coordinate events, programs and activities such as sand painting, bonfires and team‑building sessions.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including water‑sports and scuba providers.
• Order and control inventory of supplies, equipment, tools and uniforms.
• Assist with the children’s program, from activity planning to equipment procurement.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and act as a role model for staff.
• Participate in performance appraisals, coaching and training of team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of recreation/health‑club experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle a fast‑paced environment.
