Assistant Nurse

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Nurse to join our patient care team in a hospital setting. The role supports Registered Nurses and Allied Health professionals by delivering safe, high‑quality patient care and performing independent nursing activities within the Practical Nurse scope of practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clinical and operational activities on the ward to ensure optimal patient care, safety and satisfaction.
• Adapt nursing care to diverse age‑specific patient populations.
• Maintain effective communication and rapport with patients, families, physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Uphold confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling patient information.
• Collaborate with staff to provide continuous service and adhere to safety and risk‑management policies.
• Report adverse events, incidents and near‑misses and contribute to investigations and response drafting.
• Monitor key performance indicators and assist in developing action plans.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing (minimum 18‑month program).
• Current, valid RN licensure from the candidate’s country.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proof of yearly Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
• Proficiency in using the hospital’s computer system.
