Associate Facilities Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Facilities Engineer specializing in mechanical systems to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The engineer supports the design, operation and maintenance of mechanical facilities across sectors such as oil and gas, infrastructure, energy and healthcare, ensuring 24/7 operational efficiency of office facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 operational efficiency of office facilities through inspections, maintenance coordination and user interaction.
• Manage logistics such as receiving and checking materials, and handle project logistics during scheduled shutdowns.
• Support the development of engineering solutions and the formulation of design basis by analysing operational requirements, process considerations and economic factors for new construction, modifications or equipment maintenance.
• Monitor and inspect construction progress against company engineering standards, recommend or confirm design changes and material or equipment substitutions, and keep costs within approved budgets.
• Help develop cost estimates for engineering, labour, equipment and materials from preliminary design data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in operations, maintenance and engineering activities, including analysis, development, design, coordination and project control.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under supervision and independently, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools related to mechanical systems.
