Astronomy Specialist

About the role

The Astronomy Specialist will support the design, preparation, operation and maintenance of astronomy experiences across the Red Sea destination. Working on both inland and island sites, you will ensure that telescopes, binoculars, astrophotography gear and observatory facilities are ready to deliver memorable stargazing moments for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect all astronomy equipment and assets before each guest experience.
• Operate manual and computerized telescopes, binoculars and astrophotography equipment during tours and events.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and repairs on optical instruments to uphold safety and performance standards.
• Manage inventory, logistics and transportation of astronomy gear across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with the Astronomy Supervisor and Guides to develop new experiences, events and educational programmes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and functionality of observatory facilities.
• Support operational planning, logistics and readiness for inland and island destinations.
