Barista – Luxury Hotel Café

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Barista to join the Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Center team. You will craft high‑quality specialty coffee beverages while delivering exceptional service in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, inform them about specials, take orders and process payments.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, latte, cappuccino) following prescribed recipes.
• Promote coffee consumption by educating customers and selling coffee equipment and accessories.
• Maintain inventory of coffee beans, brewing equipment, pastries and supplies.
• Ensure equipment is operating, perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Uphold a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment in line with food safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in food & beverage or retail, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Proven barista expertise with specialty coffee preparation.
• Strong cash handling and POS system experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Multilingual, especially Arabic, is a plus.
