Barista – Specialty Coffee at Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Barista to become the heart of our café operation at Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea in Umluj, Saudi Arabia. You will deliver exceptional customer service while crafting high‑quality specialty coffee beverages in a collaborative, hospitality‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks with precision, mastering espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Provide warm, engaging, and professional service, anticipating and exceeding guest needs.
• Offer informed menu recommendations and answer guest questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments via POS systems, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including equipment setup, inventory checks, and facility preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak and off‑peak periods.
• Create attractive product displays and engage customers with knowledgeable recommendations.
• Adapt flexibly to changing priorities and support additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Food & Beverage or retail.
• Proven barista experience with expertise in specialty coffee preparation.
• Strong cash‑handling skills and experience with point‑of‑sale systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
