Bell Captain – Front Office Leadership

About the role

The Bell Captain leads the bell service team, ensuring every guest receives attentive, professional assistance from arrival to departure. This position blends front‑office coordination with hands‑on supervision of luggage handling, creating memorable experiences for hotel guests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide continuous assistance throughout their stay.
• Supervise Bellboys, overseeing the safe transport of luggage from arrival points to rooms and back to the lobby at checkout.
• Manage guest messages, mail, and packages, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Maintain the duty roster in line with business needs and operational demands.
• Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of hotel services and communicate this information to the team.
• Utilise the Opera guest profile system to stay informed about guest preferences and histories.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality, or vocational training within a hotel front‑office department.
• Strong English communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, problem‑solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience supervising a team in a hospitality environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera property management system.
• General computer literacy.
