Business Development Manager – Infrastructure

About the role

Join Hempel’s Infrastructure division in Saudi Arabia to drive business growth across the Kingdom. You will work closely with owners, consultants, EPCs and contractors to influence major infrastructure projects and expand Hempel’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Infrastructure business development strategy aligned with Hempel’s Energy & Infrastructure objectives.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities across targeted accounts, projects and value chains.
• Strengthen Hempel’s specification position and market presence throughout Saudi Arabia.
• Build and maintain relationships with project owners, developers, consultants, EPCs and contractors, engaging early in decision‑making.
• Convert strategic and non‑buying accounts into sustainable long‑term business opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional sales teams and internal stakeholders to support growth targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and upcoming projects to uncover expansion opportunities.
• Deliver against agreed business development and commercial KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, project sales, key account management or similar commercial roles.
• Background in infrastructure, construction, industrial or engineering sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to engage consultants, contractors, EPCs, developers and project owners.
• Understanding of specification selling and project‑based sales environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a large territory and travel regularly across the Kingdom.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Technical Sales or related field preferred.
