About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive portfolio growth, develop broker relationships and ensure high‑quality service across our insurance offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Reach portfolio growth and quality targets.
- Implement the broker strategy aligned with the marketing plan.
- Develop existing brokers and acquire new ones as needed.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospect data collection to policy issuance.
- Identify cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities.
- Maintain group‑wide service quality standards.
- Service brokers based on segmentation and collaborate with core functions.
- Apply commercial underwriting standards to ensure profitability.
- Monitor, report and suggest improvements for broker relationships.
Required profile
- Deep market knowledge and expertise in broker networks.
- Proven ability to generate and convert leads profitably.
- Strong sales, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work with risk, claims and policy administration teams.
- Leadership behaviours both internal (building relationships) and external (closing deals).
- Comfort with multicultural environments.
Required skills
- Understanding of trade credit insurance (advantageous).
- Basic familiarity with AI‑powered tools and best‑practice awareness.
