Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and diversification of the organization by developing and implementing effective business strategies. This role focuses on expanding the client base, increasing revenue, and ensuring long‑term sustainability and success.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement business development strategies to drive long‑term growth and revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and maximize opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and achieve sales targets.
• Develop and present compelling business proposals and lead negotiations to secure favourable terms.
• Research market opportunities, industry trends, and viable income streams to keep the business competitive.
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calling/emails.
• Open new accounts, establish credit facilities, and develop operational procedures for smooth onboarding.
• Close sales deals to meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5‑7 years of business development experience in the Saudi Arabian market.
• Prior experience in a freight forwarding company (mandatory).
• Familiarity with local business culture and regulations.
• A strong network of business contacts within relevant industries is a plus.
