Business Development Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a high‑performing Business Development Specialist to drive our market expansion in the events sector. This 360° sales role blends hunter instincts with consultative expertise, guiding opportunities from initial contact through to live event delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage C‑suite and marketing leaders across local and international firms.
• Represent the company at industry events, building brand awareness and generating qualified leads.
• Execute cold‑approach, LinkedIn social selling and networking strategies to maintain a robust pipeline.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to uncover white‑space opportunities.
• Lead discovery sessions, analyse RFP/RFQ documents, and develop winning proposals.
• Collaborate with creative and technical teams to craft innovative, feasible solutions.
• Prepare detailed financial bids and high‑impact presentations using Canva or PowerPoint.
• Conduct internal kick‑off meetings to ensure seamless handover to Project Management.
• Maintain 100% CRM accuracy (HubSpot, Salesforce, Odoo) and provide monthly revenue forecasts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the events industry or a high‑stakes service sector.
• Proven track record of securing large‑scale projects and managing multinational key accounts.
• Resilience under tight deadlines and high‑pressure environments.
• Expert level proficiency with modern presentation tools and CRM systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
