Channel Development Lead, Cluster B (Modern Trade)

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Channel Development Lead for Cluster B (Modern Trade) based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Working with customers to define and execute growth strategies, the role partners with Sales, Category Planning and Marketing to turn shopper and market insights into initiatives that drive market share and profitability. It is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute customer development strategies and build strong relationships with key Modern Trade customers and internal stakeholders
• Support Joint Customer Business Plans (JCBPs) and drive customer-specific initiatives to strengthen category performance
• Partner with Sales and Category Planning to develop promotional plans, activation calendars and in-store execution plans, and support new product launches
• Monitor customer performance against objectives and ensure effective use of trade investments
• Analyse customer performance, category trends and competitor activity to shape customer propositions and improve product visibility and assortment
• Collaborate with Key Account Managers, Category Planning and Marketing, present business recommendations and align customer priorities with business objectives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics or a related field; Master's or MBA is an advantage
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in FMCG, preferably in Trade Marketing, Channel Development, Category Management, Shopper Marketing or Key Account Management
• Understanding of the Saudi Modern Trade landscape and experience in customer business planning and promotional planning
• Strong English; Arabic is an advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Commercial and analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement and negotiation
• Ability to translate insights into business plans and manage multiple priorities independently
• Familiarity with commercial reporting tools is an advantage
