Chef de Partie - Pastry

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Chef de Partie – Pastry to join our kitchen team at Rotana Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily pastry production, ensuring high quality and creativity in desserts and breads while supporting the Pastry Chef and other kitchen sections.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily mise‑en‑place and produce pastries, breads, and plated desserts.
• Coordinate tasks with the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef and follow their instructions.
• Maintain consistent quality, stay updated on new recipes, techniques and pastry trends.
• Lead, instruct and supervise junior staff in food preparation and buffet set‑up.
• Participate in cost control, waste reduction and cleanliness initiatives.
• Assist with special functions, last‑minute events and cross‑sectional requirements.
• Train and motivate team members to ensure an efficient, economical working environment.

Required profile

• Completed a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training programme.
• Experience in reputable establishments with strong culinary skills.
• Fluent English communication.
• Positive, dynamic, creative and able to work in a multicultural, high‑pressure environment.

Required skills

• Expertise in plated desserts and bakery production.
• Strong knowledge of breads, including sourdough, breakfast pastries and emerging bread trends.
• Awareness of latest pastry trends and creativity in dessert presentation.
• Leadership and teamwork abilities.
