Chef Stewards – Mock Hotel Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Mock Hotel Operations Supervisor will lead the operational side of a newly created mock‑hotel training facility at Batterjee Medical College. The role focuses on food‑and‑beverage, culinary arts, stewarding, scheduling, inventory control and hygiene standards, ensuring the environment mirrors real‑world hospitality standards for student training.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the mock hotel facility, including training kitchens, F&B areas and stewarding sections, guaranteeing readiness and safety.
• Prepare and manage operational schedules in coordination with academic staff, preventing conflicts and aligning facility use with curricula.
• Maintain comprehensive inventory and asset records for kitchen tools, utensils and equipment, ensuring availability for each training session.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation procedures and hygiene standards across all operational zones.
• Support practical training sessions by coordinating resources, equipment, and staff to deliver high‑quality hands‑on learning experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in hospitality operations, preferably within hotel or training environments.
• Strong knowledge of culinary arts, food‑and‑beverage management and stewarding processes.
• Ability to work closely with academic schedules and support student‑focused training activities.
