Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Sovereign‑Backed Enterprise

About the role

The Board is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a sovereign‑backed enterprise operating in a nation‑critical sector. The role focuses on scaling the business, strengthening institutional foundations, and representing the organization at the highest governmental and strategic levels.

Key responsibilities

• Own the corporate strategy end‑to‑end, from formulation and Board approval to capital allocation and execution.
• Identify and pursue new growth vectors, including new lines of business, strategic partnerships, and market expansion.
• Hold full P&L accountability, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cost discipline and delivery against Board‑approved financial targets.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high‑caliber executive team, establishing succession plans for critical roles.
• Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations and sovereign‑entity governance requirements; manage the enterprise risk register.
• Serve as the principal spokesperson with ministries, regulators, sovereign investors and key commercial counterparties.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, multi‑line P&L organizations with demonstrated revenue and margin growth.
• Track record of building leadership benches and implementing robust governance frameworks.
• Extensive experience interacting with government, regulators and sovereign investors.
• Strong board reporting skills with ability to provide candid performance and risk assessments.
