About the role
The Chief Financial Officer will establish and lead a robust finance function for a newly formed joint venture, ensuring sound financial governance, compliance, and transparent reporting that meet shareholder expectations and international standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a finance strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and long‑term growth plans.
- Build, lead, and continuously improve a scalable finance function, including accounting policies, financial controls, and procedures in accordance with IFRS and best practices.
- Integrate and harmonise the finance operations of two existing entities into a single, efficient operating model.
- Oversee corporate finance, treasury, cash‑flow management, working‑capital optimisation, and liquidity planning while maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Ensure the efficient operation of core finance processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, tax, budgeting and business planning.
- Act as the principal financial advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors and shareholders, providing accurate reporting, analysis and recommendations.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop business plans, budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against targets.
- Lead financial oversight of capital projects, investments, asset divestments and contract evaluations, applying rigorous risk assessment.
- Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks across liquidity, credit, market, contractual and compliance domains.
- Drive financial discipline to achieve profitability and capital‑efficiency targets.
Required profile
- Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably in joint‑venture or multi‑entity environments.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, corporate finance, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proven track record of integrating finance functions and implementing robust financial controls.
- Strong advisory capability to senior executives and board members.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
