Chief Operating Officer – Luxury Construction Projects

About the role

The company is a leading main contracting and construction firm seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to oversee the operational delivery of a portfolio of multi‑billion SAR luxury construction projects. This executive will drive operational excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth across ultra‑luxury hospitality, mixed‑use, residential and landmark developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction operations strategy and direction for large‑scale contracting projects.
• Manage contractor performance and ensure delivery efficiency.
• Oversee project delivery and scheduling for complex multi‑billion SAR initiatives.
• Provide safety leadership and ensure compliance with HSE standards and local regulations.
• Maintain construction quality standards and client satisfaction.
• Mentor senior management teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate multiple project teams and stakeholders across diverse portfolios.
• Supervise end‑to‑end construction activities and field operations.
• Control construction costs, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
• Develop and retain high‑performing construction teams.
• Engage with clients, consultants, developers, government authorities and business partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related technical field.
• Master's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• 25–30 years of construction industry experience, including 10–15 years in senior leadership roles such as Executive Director or COO.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with total portfolios of SAR 5‑10 billion.
• Strong background delivering high‑end luxury hotels (5‑star) and mega residential/commercial towers.
