Civil Draftsman

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking a Civil Draftsman in Riyadh to produce precise technical drawings for refinery infrastructure and expansion projects. The role supports the technical team by converting engineering concepts into compliant construction documents for civil and structural works, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D civil drawings for foundations, structures, and site works using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to the Saudi Building Code, SASO standards, and internal engineering guidelines.
• Update master drawing sets to reflect field changes and maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to resolve spatial conflicts and integrate utility requirements.
• Provide quantity take‑offs to support procurement and cost estimation.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and ensure constructed elements match approved specifications.
• Manage version control and distribution of civil drawings in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Provide technical clarifications to contractors to minimise errors and rework.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or related field.
• At least five years of drafting experience in an industrial, mining, or heavy‑construction environment.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit or Civil 3D.
• Understanding of Saudi Building Code and reinforced concrete detailing standards.
• Experience producing drawings for industrial facilities, including chemical containment and heavy foundations.
• Clear communication in English and a valid driving licence for site inspections.
