Civil Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

AtkinsRealis is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead road, highway and infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with KSA standards, and coordinate with design consultants, contractors and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess road geometry, pavement designs, drainage systems, utilities coordination and traffic management plans.
• Supervise earthworks, asphalt works, concrete works, culverts, road furniture and related infrastructure on‑site.
• Approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings and temporary traffic management plans.
• Identify construction risks, non‑conformances and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule, quality and safety benchmarks and report progress.
• Prepare and review technical reports, inspection records, NCRs and correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 12 + years of experience in road construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of KSA road standards, specifications and construction practices.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
