Coating, Blasting and Painting Incharge (Oil & Gas)

About the role

ABIS is looking for a Coating, Blasting and Painting Incharge to join its Oil & Gas division in Al Jubail. The role oversees and manages coating, blasting and painting operations so that they meet project specifications and industry standards, coordinating with project teams, maintaining quality control and driving continuous improvement while following safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all coating, blasting and painting activities in line with project specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and quality control teams to plan and execute coating strategies.
• Inspect surfaces and prepare them for coating, ensuring proper blasting and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain coating equipment and ensure it complies with safety protocols.
• Enforce safety regulations across all coating, blasting and painting operations.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure the durability and integrity of applied coatings.
• Lead, train and supervise a team of coating and painting technicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Coating Technology or a related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in coating, blasting and painting within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of surface preparation, coating application techniques and standards such as NACE or SSPC.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental practices for coating and painting operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection reports.
