Commissioning Manager – Automation Systems

About the role

L&T Digital Energy Solutions is looking for a skilled Site Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning of SCADA, Power Plant Controllers, RTUs, and related automation systems for renewable solar PV projects across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The role ensures timely, high‑quality delivery of automation solutions that meet grid code requirements and optimise plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive site handover, verify work‑front availability and escalate material or schedule delays.
• Coordinate and lead on‑site commissioning activities for SCADA, PPCs, RTUs, IEDs, communication networks and remote monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to review system architecture, I/O mapping and functional logic.
• Conduct installation verification, pre‑commissioning checks, loop testing and full system commissioning.
• Maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, resolve technical issues on site and support system handover and training for operations teams.
• Provide regular progress updates to the client and end‑client, ensuring alignment with project schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in commissioning automation systems for solar PV or similar renewable energy projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage on‑site activities in a fast‑paced environment.
