Procurement Manager – Flexible Packaging

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supply chain management for a comprehensive portfolio of flexible packaging materials. This senior position will drive cost optimisation, supplier development and sourcing strategy across a range of critical raw materials in the GCC manufacturing landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement and strategic sourcing for flexible packaging raw materials such as BOPP, CPP, PET, PE, PVC, aluminium foil, polymers, resins, inks, adhesives and solvents.
• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies that deliver cost reduction, supply security and improved supplier performance.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and lead times with regional and international suppliers.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of procurement professionals, setting KPIs and conducting performance reviews.
• Own supplier qualification, onboarding and ongoing development to maintain a resilient supply base.
• Monitor commodity market trends and implement risk‑mitigation strategies to protect continuity of supply.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, finance and logistics teams.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on procurement experience within the flexible packaging industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing procurement teams.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts with regional and global suppliers.
• Ability to analyse market trends and manage supply‑chain risks.

Required skills

• CIPS qualification or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with digital procurement tools and platforms.
