About the role
The Committees Affairs and Governance Specialist supports the Board of Directors and its committees by developing governance frameworks, managing administrative processes, and ensuring smooth operational execution of board activities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain board and committee charters, policies, templates, and meeting protocols.
- Prepare the total budget for the Board and committees, monitor expenditures and coordinate with Finance.
- Define and process remuneration for board and committee members in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Maintain complete member files, including appointment letters, terms, and renewals.
- Coordinate travel logistics, visas, accommodation and transportation for domestic and international visits.
- Draft and dispatch official letters, prepare meeting minutes and track implementation of decisions.
- Collect, assess and report on member performance, highlighting issues and recommendations.
- Provide regular reports on implementation effectiveness to senior leadership.
- Support the Council and its committees on governance matters and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in board support, governance, or related administrative functions.
- Knowledge of budgeting, remuneration processes and performance evaluation for board members.
