Community Manager

About the role

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a dedicated Community Manager to lead daily operations at its award‑winning apartment communities. The role combines team coaching, cultural ambassadorship, and strategic business oversight to ensure strong occupancy and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgets, rent collection, financial reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Oversee move‑outs, deposit accounting, delinquency tracking, and maintain accurate records using Yardi and Knock.
• Conduct regular property inspections, drive leasing and renewal strategies, and partner with maintenance on work orders and preventative care.
• Lead vendor relationships, ensuring quality, safety, and timely service delivery.
• Build and nurture a positive team culture, hiring, training, and coaching staff to meet performance goals.
• Address escalated resident concerns, plan engaging community events, and monitor online reviews.
• Support leasing efforts by conducting tours, responding to leads, and guiding prospects through the application process.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of property management experience, including leasing consultant and assistant community manager roles.
• Minimum six months of community manager experience in a multifamily setting.
• Valid driver’s license; CAM, CAPS, real estate or property management licenses are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using Knock platform.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.
