Compliance Specialist – Technical Safety & Regulatory

About the role

The Compliance Specialist will join NEOM Green Hydrogen Company’s Operations team in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. The role ensures that facilities, projects, engineering designs, and operational activities meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and international best practices throughout design, construction, commissioning, handover, and operation phases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical compliance reviews and track regulatory compliance for all NGHC assets.
• Review engineering designs, technical documents, specifications, procedures and reports for conformity with standards.
• Perform inspections, audits and monitor corrective actions, maintaining compliance registers and audit reports.
• Support project approvals and regulatory stage requirements, contributing to continuous improvement of compliance procedures.
• Verify technical safety systems including fire & gas detection, fire protection, emergency shutdown, safety instrumented systems, alarm & emergency response interfaces, hazardous area classification, and emergency communication.
• Participate in process safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, FERA, QRA, and SIL reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in compliance, industrial safety, or process safety roles.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections and manage corrective actions in complex engineering environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance tracking and internal audit planning and execution.
