Computing & Cloud Architect

About the role

Eram Talent is seeking a Computing & Cloud Architect to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The role designs and deploys cloud computing solutions for clients, combining deep technical knowledge with strategic insight. It involves working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions, promote cloud adoption and drive digital transformation. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Own the enterprise architecture for computing platforms across on-prem, private cloud, public cloud and HPC/AI infrastructure.
• Define target reference architectures, standards and roadmaps, and provide architectural assurance for major programs and solutions.
• Develop and implement cloud strategies supporting short- and long-term goals, with high availability, performance and security.
• Lead cloud technology best practices and promote a culture of innovation.
• Integrate existing systems with cloud-based solutions, ensuring interoperability and data consistency.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to define cloud architecture for new applications and features.
• Evaluate new cloud services and technology trends and recommend improvements.
• Monitor cloud performance metrics and adjust architectures to optimise cost and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 15+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years focused on cloud computing architectures.
• Experience in cloud migration projects and managing hybrid cloud environments.
• Cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional) are preferred.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
