Construction Director

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead the Diriyah Boulevard & Public Realm Project, a landmark urban development in Diriyah Gate Phase 2. The role involves overseeing a large‑scale streetscape, landscaping and public‑realm programme while ensuring safety, quality and schedule performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities for the Diriyah Boulevard & Public Realm Project.
• Provide strategic direction to construction and supervision teams, ensuring work is executed safely, on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Review and approve construction plans, method statements and work programmes.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies.
• Oversee contract administration in partnership with commercial teams.
• Prepare regular progress reports and dashboards for senior management and the client.
• Support change management, claim mitigation and dispute resolution.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 15–20 years of construction management experience, including 5–7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale infrastructure, public‑realm or mixed‑use projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong background in managing multi‑stakeholder projects with extensive streetscape and landscaping components.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and best practices.
• Deep understanding of contract conditions such as FIDIC and their commercial implications.
• High commitment to HSE standards and quality assurance processes.
