Construction Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join the Venue Technical Services team delivering a major international football tournament in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on engineering coordination, infrastructure readiness and technical oversight across multiple competition venues, rather than hands‑on construction management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical services and infrastructure readiness activities across assigned tournament venues.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, stadium operators and internal functional areas to align works with tournament operational requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, venue‑readiness milestones and infrastructure deliverables against project schedules.
• Organise and lead technical meetings, site inspections, venue walkthroughs and readiness assessments.
• Track action plans, project risks, dependencies and outstanding issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Review engineering documentation, technical reports and construction updates for accuracy.
• Support permanent infrastructure upgrades, remedial works and venue improvement projects.
• Prepare project reports, readiness dashboards and progress updates for leadership.
• Assist with venue testing, commissioning, operational‑readiness exercises and final handover activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction, infrastructure or large‑scale capital projects.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors and stadium operators.
• Strong understanding of project milestones, risk tracking and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting venue readiness, testing and commissioning activities.
