Consultant Gastroenterologist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The role involves diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders, performing advanced endoscopic procedures, and upholding high clinical standards within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP where applicable.
• Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations and collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists.
• Participate in on‑call duties, maintain accurate medical records per Saudi regulations, and contribute to quality improvement and clinical audits.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy.
• Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced clinical environment.
