Consultant Pediatric Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join a prestigious healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering expert surgical care to children of all ages and leading multidisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality surgical care to pediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within pediatric surgery privileges.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, develop multidisciplinary treatment plans, and provide on‑call emergency coverage.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff, maintain accurate medical records, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Engage in research, publications, and continuous medical education, and collaborate with other specialties for complex case management.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution with accredited residency and fellowship in Pediatric Surgery.
• Board certification in Pediatric Surgery (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years post‑specialization experience, including at least 2 years in a tertiary care center.
• Eligibility for licensing with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
