Consultant IVF / Reproductive Medicine

About the role

A leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Consultant IVF / Reproductive Medicine to join its specialist medical team. The role suits a senior fertility specialist with strong experience in IVF, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), reproductive medicine and infertility management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist Consultant-level care in Reproductive Medicine and IVF.
• Assess and manage patients presenting with male and female infertility.
• Manage IVF and assisted reproduction treatment cycles.
• Perform and/or oversee ART procedures: IVF, ICSI, oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer and frozen embryo transfer.
• Carry out ovulation induction and controlled ovarian stimulation.
• Manage recurrent implantation failure and recurrent pregnancy loss where relevant.
• Provide counseling and treatment planning for fertility patients.
• Work with embryologists, fertility nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance and documentation.
• Take part in service development, teaching and clinical audit as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree such as MBBS, MBChB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Formal postgraduate qualification or training in Reproductive Medicine, IVF, Assisted Conception or an equivalent recognized sub-specialty pathway.
• Significant Consultant-level experience in IVF/Reproductive Medicine.
• Strong hands-on experience in ART procedures, especially IVF, ICSI, oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer.
• A recognized Western qualification in line with the employer's criteria.
• Eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) professional classification at the required Consultant level, with documents for the SCFHS assessment and verification.
