Consultant – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

About the role

The Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring compliance with evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations. The role includes leading the rehabilitation department, supervising junior staff, and contributing to continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care for in‑patients and out‑patients within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Conduct regular ward rounds and develop multidisciplinary treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures specific to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Assess, refer, and coordinate care with other medical facilities as needed.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, emergency response, and departmental quality initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, nurses, and technicians.
• Engage in continued medical education, research, and professional conferences.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to professional ethics, evidence‑based practice, and Saudi health regulations.
• Active participation in CME activities and research.
