Consultant Physician

About the role

The Consultant Physician provides comprehensive assessment and management of patients at Fakeeh Care, delivering evidence‑based care in line with the organization’s bylaws, policies and procedures. The role involves direct patient care, coordination of discharge planning, and participation in teaching and quality‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties within assigned privileges, including thorough clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments.
• Develop and document evidence‑based care plans in patients’ medical records.
• Act as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for in‑patients, creating discharge plans on admission and updating daily progress notes using SOAP format.
• Respond promptly to medical consultations and document all interventions.
• Complete and authenticate discharge summaries, provide discharge instructions and medication education.
• Participate in facility call schedules, departmental meetings and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare medical reports according to Fakeeh Care format and contribute to teaching rounds as requested.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and preventive measures.

Required profile

• Holding the clinical privileges required by Fakeeh Care.
• Ability to assess patients comprehensively and document assessments accurately.
• Commitment to adhere to Fakeeh Care standards for documentation, safety and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SOAP‑style medical documentation.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for assessment, care planning and discharge summaries.
