Control System Engineer - Project & Control System Upgrade

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a Control System Engineer with project management and control system upgrade experience to join its team in Dhahran. The engineer oversees control system design, upgrades and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and existing control infrastructure keeps improving.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement control system solutions for new projects and system upgrades
• Manage and coordinate control system upgrade projects from planning to commissioning
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define system requirements and specifications
• Carry out testing, troubleshooting and validation of control systems
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field
• At least 15 years of experience in control system engineering in industrial environments
• Proven experience managing control system upgrade projects
• Experience on Saudi Aramco projects such as DCS/ESD upgrades and large motor replacement is highly preferred
• Ability to lead pre-commissioning of control systems and to review and improve the scope of work to reduce costs
• Full familiarity with site instrumentation and its installation and connection to control systems
• Experience leading site teams and contractors, and knowledge of project management areas
• Willingness to work at project sites as required
