About the role
Hill International, a global construction consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to support its Middle East operations and its sister company, Palladium. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across construction, commercial, and compliance matters.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assist with bid and tender opportunities, bond requests, and contract negotiations.
- Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including services, consulting, NDAs, agency, vendor, joint‑venture, sub‑consultant, construction, government contracts and leases.
- Provide legal advice on corporate, labor, insurance, risk, and compliance issues.
- Manage disputes, claims and litigation, including coordination with external counsel.
- Support internal functions such as Operations, Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit and HR.
- Deliver legal training and develop standard form documents.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Law from a reputable university.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- 8‑15 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least 5 years in the Middle East region.
- Experience in corporate law, contract negotiation and enforcement.
- Construction industry exposure; knowledge of FIDIC contracts is a plus.
- Background in ethics and compliance, including US FCPA, US Anti‑Boycott Regulations and UK Bribery Act.
Required skills
- Knowledge of FIDIC contract standards.
