Cost Controller

About the role

Our client, a leading petrochemical joint venture in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring for complex projects, turnarounds, and brownfield initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust project cost control systems to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
• Monitor actual costs against approved budgets, report variances, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project controls teams to validate cost data, support change orders, and assess financial risks.
• Track all turnaround and brownfield costs throughout planning and execution phases.
• Participate in post‑turnaround reviews to evaluate cost performance and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of cost control experience within the petrochemical sector.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with brownfield projects, modifications, upgrades, and tie‑ins.
• Proven turnaround (TA) project experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and project cost control tools such as SAP, Oracle, and Primavera.
• Strong analytical abilities for cost monitoring and variance analysis.
