Country Manager – Construction Projects in the Middle East

About the role

The Country Manager will lead our construction business across the Middle East, overseeing the delivery of international projects, expanding market presence, and driving commercial success. This senior position requires strong leadership in challenging overseas environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of construction projects in Saudi Arabia, UAE and surrounding markets.
• Develop and execute market expansion strategies, identifying new business opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations and secure contracts with local and international partners.
• Ensure compliance with international engineering regulations, construction standards and local legal requirements.
• Assess project risks, implement mitigation plans, and resolve complex operational issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years managing overseas projects.
• Proven track record of delivering international projects and expanding market share.
• Strong business acumen, risk assessment and problem‑solving capabilities.
• High integrity, professionalism and resilience in demanding environments.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with English as the working language.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international engineering regulations and construction standards.
• Familiarity with Middle East market regulations and business practices.
