Cyber Security Defence Manager

About the role

Panda Retail Company is expanding its Cybersecurity organization and seeks a proactive Cyber Security Defence Manager. Reporting to the Head of Cybersecurity, you will lead a 24x7 Operations team to monitor, detect, and respond to threats across the company’s digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Cybersecurity Operations team to ensure continuous 24x7 monitoring, detection, and mitigation of cyber threats.
• Develop, maintain, and test incident response plans and procedures for rapid containment and recovery.
• Implement and tune defence tools, systems, and controls to protect against evolving internal and external threats.
• Monitor real‑time security alerts, logs, and threat‑intelligence feeds, ensuring timely analysis and response.
• Coordinate with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams to embed security controls within enterprise risk frameworks.
• Analyse root causes of incidents and vulnerabilities to drive preventive measures and improve defence mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, regulatory standards, and maintain organizational resilience.
• Drive security awareness and training initiatives to reduce human‑related risks.
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on incident trends, system performance, and threat metrics for executive visibility.
• Mentor and develop the cybersecurity defence team to enhance skills and align with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Background in server administration (preferred).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and thorough documentation habits.
• Comfortable using command‑line tools on both Linux and Windows platforms.
