Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

RIME is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to protect its cloud, on‑premise and network environments. The role combines deep Linux expertise with hands‑on security operations, ensuring proactive threat mitigation across the company’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and harden cloud (AWS) and on‑premise systems, applying security best practices.
• Develop, implement and enforce organization‑wide security policies and standards.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
• Investigate and manage security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and apply long‑term corrective actions.
• Oversee identity and access management, secrets management and endpoint security configurations.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines, source code repositories and development workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to embed secure‑by‑design principles.
• Provide internal training on security protocols and risk awareness.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats and industry intelligence.

Required profile

• Advanced expertise in Linux systems administration and security.
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption and authentication frameworks.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms and log analysis.
• Proficiency in cloud security (AWS) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Hands‑on penetration testing and vulnerability management experience.
• Ability to manage security incidents independently under pressure.
• Professional certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or CEH are a plus.
• Experience in fast‑moving startup or technology‑driven environments.
