Cybersecurity Analyst – SOC L1

About the role

Innovative Solutions is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst – Level 1 to join its dedicated SOC team. You will monitor security events, perform initial triage, and respond to incidents using a range of security tools, helping to maintain a strong security posture for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from multiple sources and platforms.
• Conduct initial triage, analysis, and classification of security incidents.
• Perform first‑line incident response actions, including containment and remediation.
• Collaborate with SOC teammates to investigate and resolve complex incidents.
• Document incidents, response actions, and maintain up‑to‑date security procedures.
• Analyze network traffic and log data to identify potential threats.
• Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
• Participate in shift work, on‑call rotation, and regular training sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP, CEH) are preferred.
• Understanding of information security concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies.
• Familiarity with antivirus solutions and firewalls.
• Endpoint protection tools.
• Understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Network traffic analysis.
• Log data analysis.
