Data Protection & Privacy Senior Specialist

About the role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is looking for a senior specialist to lead data protection and privacy initiatives. You will work with minimal supervision to assess, design, and implement policies that safeguard sensitive data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review National Data Management Office (NDMO) standards and update ZATCA data guides.
• Conduct assessments to identify data‑management needs, challenges and improvement areas.
• Assist in developing data‑privacy policies, standards and procedures aligned with best‑practice and international frameworks.
• Propose and monitor improvement plans, KPIs and risk‑assessment measures.
• Communicate policies and standards to stakeholders and ensure engagement.
• Design and deliver awareness programmes on data‑privacy requirements.
• Manage implementation of privacy plans, track issues, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data protection, privacy or related fields.
• Ability to work independently within established guidelines.
• Familiarity with Saudi‑specific data regulations and NDMO requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset for risk assessment and KPI tracking.
