Datamart Developer

About the role

Masterworks is looking for an experienced Datamart and Semantic Layer Developer to design, build, and optimise business‑oriented datamarts and semantic layers across Teradata, CDP Hive, and Trino platforms. The role focuses on translating technical specifications into high‑performance analytics solutions for the telecommunications domain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop star and snowflake dimensional models and implement subject‑area datamarts (Customer, Revenue, Network, Product, Finance).
• Create and optimise fact, dimension, bridge, and aggregate tables, including slowly changing dimensions (SCD Types 1‑3).
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and HiveQL scripts to populate and maintain datamarts.
• Build semantic layers using TIBCO Data Virtualization and Trino, defining virtual and materialised views, calculated measures, and KPIs.
• Implement data access policies, row‑level security, and governance rules.
• Integrate data across Teradata and CDP Hive via Trino, creating federated queries and cross‑platform views.
• Optimise performance through indexing, statistics, partitioning, and caching.
• Conduct unit testing, data validation, and debugging of ETL/ELT processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in datamart development and semantic‑layer implementation.
• Strong background in telecommunications data and business metrics.
• Proven ability to translate design documents into efficient SQL code.
