Decoration Machinery Mechanic (Level 2)

About the role

The Decoration Machinery Mechanic (Level 2) ensures the reliable operation of can decoration equipment, supporting high‑quality printing and efficient production at the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on printers, coaters, ovens and related decoration machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Execute repairs, replace worn parts, adjust settings and realign components as needed.
• Conduct equipment inspections to anticipate and prevent production disruptions.
• Assist with line setup and changeovers for different can designs.
• Monitor performance during runs and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise machinery uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records and spare‑part inventories.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Participate in training on new technologies and equipment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably with printing or decoration equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
