Delivery Dispatcher

About the role

The Delivery Dispatcher will coordinate and optimise delivery operations across Basamh Group’s retail and food service businesses. The role ensures timely, efficient and compliant order fulfilment while supporting safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure delivery environment.
• Monitor driver compliance with truck checklists, government regulations and internal standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to schedule deliveries and meet special customer requirements.
• Supervise and track all delivery drivers, addressing delays or issues promptly.
• Collect, scan and upload Proof of Delivery (POD) into SAP, keeping accurate records.
• Generate and share POD reports with line managers, finance and transportation teams.
• Process system transactions and create shipments to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Manage documentation and service agreements for both outsourced and internal fleets.
• Schedule vehicles from outsourced contractors according to daily delivery needs.
• Oversee third‑party logistics (3PL) activities for branch and shuttle operations.
• Execute the daily delivery plan, optimising resource utilisation and on‑time performance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and work with Sales and Warehouse teams to enhance service efficiency.
• Track departmental KPIs such as cost control, fleet utilisation and refusal rates, reporting gaps.
• Support team development through training, coaching and feedback.

• Strong understanding of logistics and transportation processes.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Excellent coordination skills across multiple internal teams.
• Ability to enforce safety and compliance standards.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for POD handling and shipment tracking.
