Logistics Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring construction logistics activities across assigned projects, zones or contractor packages. The role ensures practical implementation of logistics plans, including site access, traffic management, haul routes, delivery coordination and compliance with contractor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and implement project‑level logistics plans, coordinating daily and weekly activities and maintaining visibility of contractor programmes, deliveries and access needs.
• Act as the primary logistics contact for contractors, reviewing submissions, monitoring implementation of approved logistics and traffic‑management plans, and managing mobilisation, demobilisation and work‑area changes.
• Monitor gates, access points, haul routes and traffic controls; coordinate vehicle movements, diversions and route changes; conduct site inspections, record non‑compliances and track corrective actions.
• Identify daily constraints, hazards and interface risks, coordinate immediate mitigation, support contingency planning for closures or peak movements, and assist with testing, commissioning and hand‑over to operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports, maintain trackers, action registers and controlled copies of logistics plans, drawings and instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Transport Planning or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years of experience in construction logistics, site operations, infrastructure delivery or traffic management.
• Proven experience coordinating contractor logistics on active construction sites and interpreting construction drawings, logistics layouts and phasing plans.
• Strong knowledge of construction health, safety and environmental requirements.
