Demi Chef De Partie - Kitchen

About the role

Jumeirah Jabal Omar, a luxury hotel in the heart of the Holy City with four towers, dining venues and a culinary offering spanning Mediterranean, Persian, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian cuisines, is hiring a Demi Chef De Partie for the kitchen. The role works closely with the Chef de Partie to deliver accurate, high-quality food preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Take orders from the Chef de Partie and execute them accurately, following instructions and recommendations and completing tasks as required each day.
• Write daily requisitions for wine, dry store, food and kitchen transfers, seeking approval from the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef to keep stock rotation high.
• Work to the portion sizes, quantities and quality specified in the recipe index provided by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality in daily food preparation, keeping up with new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
• Organize mise-and-place production and service shifts with the Chef de Partie to keep kitchen operations efficient.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures strictly to keep the workplace clean and safe.

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of kitchen experience.
• Completed kitchen apprentice.
• Diploma or certification from an accredited culinary school.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
